For patients who have difficulty swallowing solids1
Disperse tablets in 120 mL (4 oz) of non-carbonated, room temperature water. Advise the patient not to crush the tablet or use other liquids.
Stir until tablets are dispersed into small pieces and drink immediately. Advise patients that tablets will not dissolve completely and that the colour of the water may range from pale to bright yellow.
Rinse the container with an additional 120 mL (4 oz) of water and drink immediately.
Note: If the mixture is not consumed immediately, advise the patient to stir again to ensure the tablets are dispersed.
Important: Mixture must be consumed within two hours of preparation.
